Dan Brown
Dan Brown, Executive Director
Dan Brown has served as TPT's Executive Director since July 2007. He was previously the Deputy Director of the Vieux Carre Commission in New Orleans and has been teaching as an Adjunct Professor of History at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. Dan has a background in nonprofit/public administration as well as Historic Preservation rehabilitation contracting. He has a Master's degree in Historic Preservation from the Tulane University School of Architecture in New Orleans. Dan has finished his coursework for an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Historic Preservation at Tulane and is currently completing his dissertation. He grew up in Tennessee and his extended family resides in Nashville and throughout the state.

Leta Wildasin
Leta Wildasin, Office Manager
Leta Wildasin joined TPT as the Office Manager, a part-time position, in May 2008. Leta has a B.B.A. from Belmont University, and has a background in non-profit administration, professional development and recruitment. She is the Registrar for the John Nolen Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Leta is passionate not only about historic preservation, but also writing and horses. Leta and her husband, Mark, have three daughters and live in Franklin.

The Tennessee Preservation Trust has had professionally-trained staff since Patrick McIntyre joined TPT as the first executive director in July of 2002. In August, 2003, the Center for Historic Preservation at MTSU established a collaborative assistantship program with TPT, and graduate student David Price served as staff intern for the 2003-2004 academic year. Bud Alley, a master's candidate in the public history program at MTSU, began his internship from the Center to TPT in January 2006 and was later hired as administrative staff. On July 2, 2007, Dan Brown became TPT's second executive director. Paul Hoffman, a master's candidate in the public history program at MTSU, joined TPT in August as the administrative asssistant. Leta Wildasin joined TPT as office manager in May 2008.

Since its inception, TPT has focused on maintaining a strong and diverse board of directors. TPT's board represents the cultural and geographic diversity of the state. Its members come from large cities and small towns, and from a variety of professions and perspectives that bring a wealth of talent and experience to the organization. Members of the board of directors have been involved in a wide range of local, regional, and national preservation efforts.
